During the 2008 election Samuel Joseph Wurzenbacher (aka Joe the Plumber) confronted Barack Obama during a campaign rally in Toledo Ohio. Wurzelbacher suggested that Obama's tax plan would be at odds with "the American dream." He said, "I'm getting ready to buy a company that makes 250 to 280 thousand dollars a year. Your new tax plan's going to tax me more, isn't it?" Obama refuted Joe's arguments. The liberal press was quick to point out that Joe the Plumber owed back taxes and, instead of Obama offering him a Cabinet position, the liberals did all the could to demonize him. Joe is back with this song which is a parody of Tennessee Ernie Ford's "Sixteen Tons". Jim Gossett and Lars Larson wrote the lyrics for "Two Trillion Tons" for the Lars Larson Show on Westwood One Radio Network.
