Do you have Tax Problems with The IRS and The State of Georgia?
Get protection from the State of Georgia and the IRS.
From tax mishandling to simple lack of knowledge of protocol, there are plenty of reasons business owners and hard-working Georgia citizens might find themselves in hot water with both the State of Georgia and the IRS.
If you’re one of those owing both taxes in huge amounts, you’re probably suffering through the most difficult, stressful time of your entire life. You probably want to just ignore it, and hope it just “goes away.”
Unfortunately, it doesn’t ever work like that. Taxes are like a chronic illness—you want to ignore the signs, you hope it’ll just solve itself eventually, but it doesn’t. It can be hard to talk to people about it, or even to know who you can talk to when you’re ready to, but I’m here to tell you that time is right now.
Your Tax Problems Won’t Solve Themselves
It’s the sad truth, but the IRS does not like to let things go, and the same goes for the Georgia Department of Revenue. They don’t just offer free tickets out of owed taxes, so if you’re hoping things will solve themselves, they won’t. They will get worse by the day until it’s time to collect.
People ask me about tax amnesty programs, and while those don’t exist—and probably never will—right now Georgia is offering a program that’s as close to that as it can get.
If you owe back taxes to the State of Georgia and the IRS both, or have any type of tax problem beyond that, you may not know how much you owe, but it’s probably more than you can handle. If that’s over $20,000, you need serious help—fast. I’ve made it my life’s work to provide that help to people just like you.
Georgia’s Progressive Tax Programs: Both Good and Bad
You’ve probably heard all about the IRS and how hard they fight for money people owe them, and believe me when I tell you you do not want to challenge them on that, and the Georgia Department of Revenue hasn’t been any kinder.
Recently, however, they have noticed that those tactics don’t work as well as they thought they would. After decades trying to turn water into wine, attempting to scrape money from the assets and bank accounts of decent people who quite simply can’t afford to pay them, they’re loosening up.
The State of Georgia’s new approach is to offer more flexible payment options so people can actually afford to pay them back through an Offer in Compromise program similar to what the IRS has in place.
Now the bad part. As the economy steadily improves and Georgians show they can get their businesses going strong again, the Georgia Department of Revenue will most likely start cutting down on these provisions, and might completely remove them altogether. It might not be long before the old days come back again.
